Albert Hernandez has more than three decades of community service and advocacy, he has
spent a lifetime fighting for equality in education, workers, and voters rights and ending violence in
families. Albert spent his formative years volunteering for political campaigns and those less
fortunate than him. His fondest memory is volunteering yearly at the Working Partnership Holiday
party that focuses giving toys and Christmas gifts to less fortunate families.
Albert is dedicated to giving students of color an equal opportunity in higher education. As a
Community Outreach Director for SACNAS (Society for Advancement of Chicanos/ Hispanics and
Native Americans in Science), Albert has been intricate in the success of the Evergreen Valley College chapter by building partnerships with corporations, non- profits, and community leaders. His work has helped high school students realize their full potential by attending college and graduating from college with majors in engineering.
Recently Albert spent two years clerking for Judge Sharon Chatman where he realized his true passion, working in the legal field. He assisted the Judge by participating in court room discussions, hearings, and trails. His legal experience ranges from misdemeanor and felony to homicide cases.
Albert serves on the board of Building Peaceful Families as Director of Social Media and serves on the website committee and Chairs the Warriors for Peace program. Warriors for Peace is a program that positively engages men of all ages through relevant education programming to end family violence.
When Albert is not spending his time in the community, he works as a Supervising Legal Assistant for the Law Office Of John C. Dunn and is continuing his education on a Juris Doctorate.
